Highway 6 Sidewalk Progress Update

The contractor, Columbine Hills Construction, has made great progress on the sidewalk project over the last three weeks. Half of the storm sewer is complete and the lower sidewalk area fill embankment is nearing completion. In the photo below you can see the sidewalk area taking shape and a new ditch completed between the highway and the future sidewalk.

The picture below is looking east towards the Evergreen & Highway 6 intersection and shows the new bench created for the sidewalk heading east to Evergreen/Lake Dillon Drive.

Over the next three weeks, the contractor will complete the majority of earthwork and site grading, construct a new retaining wall in one location and complete the storm sewer system. After that, the contractor will complete the concrete work in the first part of November.
